Crescent Underground
The Crescent Underground Theater, located in the basement between Ezra Stiles and Morse Colleges, is an intimate theater with fixed seating for 72 people and portable seating risers that can raise audience capacity to 96. The performance space is approximately 30’ wide and 20’ deep, and is equipped with a stepped grid with an upper height of 12’-5”, and a lower height of 11’-11”. There are two dressing rooms and a small storage/greenroom area backstage. The space is equipped with Source Four lighting equipment, a basic sound system, video projector, and an inventory of theatrical curtains, including a white cyc. The theater includes a sprung dance floor and an optional Harlequin Cascade dance floor. The theater is fully accessible.
Application for theater venues is integrated into the CPA application. It is not necessary to submit separate applications to individual theaters if you are applying for a CPA award. The application, along with additional information about the CPA Awards, may be found on the Creative and Performing Arts website. Student teams must include at least one Morse or Stiles student to be considered for residency.
