Rehearsal Spaces

Rehearsal space can be found in many of the buildings and units across campus including, but not limited to, the list below. Spaces are categorized by certain restrictions they have. Be sure to read the details below and contact the appropriate office for more information or to reserve a space.

For registered dance groups, recurring reservations are coordinated each semester by the Alliance for Dance at Yale (ADAY). Contact ADAY for more information on recurring reservations. Dance rehearsals are restricted to spaces with sprung floors.

Many colleges have small practice rooms with a variety of musical instruments for rehearsals that don’t require extensive movement. Please contact your Head of College’s Office for more information. A partial list of classrooms with pianos or other resources can be found by searching “Locations” on 25Live and filtering by “Features” and selecting “Piano.”

Classroom spaces have their own unique scheduling limitations, as outlined by Student Affairs, the Registrar’s Office, and below. Be sure to follow these limitations, otherwise your rehearsal may be rejected outright. If you represent an undergraduate production affiliated with a registered undergraduate group, continue to your Yale Connect group, add an Event, and fill out the details to request to book a room. If you represent an undergraduate production not affiliated with a registered undergraduate group, you can request to join the Undergraduate Production group to book rooms. If you have any questions regarding Yale Connect, contact contact the UP Technical Directors.
