Event description: 

Douglas Rosenberg’s practice explores historical and theoretical intersections of dance and moving-image. Rosenberg’s authorship includes the book Screendance: Inscribing the Ephemeral Image; The International Journal of Screendance, which he founded with Claudia Kappenberg; and he is currently promoting the release of his edited volume The Oxford Handbook of Screendance Studies. Rosenberg is currently the chair of the UW Madison Art Department.

In this event, Rosenberg will discuss paradigms for the treatment of dance in various arts contexts. This event will be held at the School of Art’s 36 Edgewood Avenue building; it is sponsored by the Yale School of Art and the Digital Media Center for the Arts.
